3.11 – Bad news – The Emergency Coven

"What about Hawthorne?" the priest asks, as the vampire puts the diary back into a pocket of his coat. "Gone. I was too late". He runs a hand through his hair, slightly embarassed: "I really wanted to... I mean, I tried to get in, but..." "It's not your fault, Jorn", says the priest, saddened, "we knew it was going to happen, even if it's still bad news. Anything else to report? Did Kane give you a hard time?" Once again, the vampire looks away. "Ah, he... no. No trouble at all". "Any news about the Keeper?", the priest goes on. "Nothing we didn't already know", says the vampire, "the kid will be here next week". "So the Lowells truly have no idea what's going on... what else? Did the police arrest Kane?" The vampire shifts his weigh from one leg to another and plays with the sleeve of his coat, not looking at the priest in the face: "Uh... not exactly".
