The vampire looks away, saddened and defeated: “Understood. It… won’t happen again, I promise”. The priest looks at him, a hand on his hip: “Jorn… you don’t have to make promises to me. What did I tell you?” “Words aren’t enough, change requires effort”. Jorn's eyes still don’t meet those of the priest: “I know. It’s just… hard to put in practice”. The priest smiles: “It’ll take some time. But I wouldn’t have asked you to help me with this if I didn’t think you could do it”. “I… I see. Thank you, Father Uriel”. “Don’t mention it. Now, about Adrian—” “Who?!” the vampire interrupts him, confused. “The hunter” the man explains. “You know him?!”
